Born in Edmonton, Alberta[3] to Vera Anne (née Wasylyshyn) [4]and Bohdan Rostyslav Bociurkiw [5]

He has interviewed world leaders including Mahathir, Lee Kuan Yew, Corazon Aquino, Chatichai Choonhaven and Vytautas Landsbergis.[6]
