Michael Eckford
Michael Eckford is a Canadian television and radio personality, formerly as a radio talk show host on CKNW AM 980 and occasionally a reporter with Global BC. He announced he was stepping down from CKNW and retiring in June 2015.
Eckford started his television debut with Fiona Forbes co-hosting a local cable television entertainment talk show in Vancouver called Daytime. That show aired in 1996 under Rogers Cable and when Shaw Cable bought the Vancouver cablesystems in 2000, the show changed to Urban Rush; later called The Rush.
Michael and Fiona also debut as its first Breakfast Television hosts for Citytv Vancouver.
