Michael Salami (born Afolabi Michael Salami, 27 January 1990), is an American English actor. He was born in Atlanta, but was raised in London. Salami is best known for playing the role of Shane Sweeney in Channel 4's Hollyoaks from 2017–2018. He has also performed in theatre, debuting in play at the Oval theatre, and has since then also preformed in many respected London theaters such as the OldVic, Soho Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith and Theatre 503. He has also starred in several short films.[2]
Before his Hollyoaks role, he has featured in Top Girl (2009), PhoneShop (2013), Venus vs Mars (2016), Newcomers (2016) and Just a couple (2017).[3]
Personal life[edit]
Salami is of Nigerian descennt. He has a child from his previous relationship.
