Michal Novotný (born 1973) is a Czech photojournalist and documentary photographer. His career began in 1991 at the age of eighteen when he hitchhiked to the war zone in the former Yugoslavia. Since this time he has covered major international events and feature stories in more than seventy countries.
He has received many national and international awards in several competitions including World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year, Best of Photojournalism and Czech Press Photo.
