Michel Nassar (Arabic: ميشيل نصار; born 3 May 2003) is a Syrian young Programmer and Developer. He was officially listed as the smallest programmer in Middle East in 2016[1]. When he was 13 years old, Nassar developed three applications on Android, one of them was very special and had got more than one million downloads.
Early life and education
Michel Nassar was born in Aleppo, Syria and he spent most of his childhood there, where his father was employed. In 2021, he graduated from Al-Amal High School with the official secondary degree in the scientific branch with an excellent degree in Syria. Michel Nassar's parents were both medical doctors, but he refused to continue their careers because of his passion for programming and technology. Nassar applied to Seattle University and got accepted for a Computer Science Bachelor's Degree, so he is travelling in Fall 2022 to the United States of America.
Career and Summary
In 2015, Nassar created his first channel on Telegram which was called MichelDroid - أندرويد to publish useful android applications and some technical articles about the latest updates. He reached more than 20,000 subscribers, but unfortunately, because he was very young, his channel was stolen and destroyed. Nassar cried like all children, but after that, before creating a new channel, he was inspired to start learning programming instead of publishing apps for other programmers. He started learning Java, Kotlin, and how to use Android Studio SDK. In April 2016, it was an extreme war in Syria, especially in Aleppo. Nassar's house was in a very dangerous area, so he moved to live with his grandmother for a few months. During this period of time, Nassar started applying what he had learned from the internet. His first Android application was just a tool to switch on the Flashlight and was called المصباح المنير. The second app had a great idea; it was a tool to reduce the system brightness more than allowed and increase it also. It was very special and gained more than one million downloads, its name was "Eye Protector - حماية العين". The third application was a Tic Tac Toe game which is called XO Game in Syria. Nassar got many television interviews after developing those android applications on Syria Television, RT Arabic [1], and Ruptly. After all these achievements in Android Development, Nassar started learning about Web Development (Full-Stack). Now, Nassar is a volunteer in Jalaa SC as a social media manager, also he is working remotely as a Web Designer in Essen Business Technology Solutions.
Personal life
Nassar is not married and has one brother younger than him by four years. His father is an anesthesiologist doctor and his mother is a pediatrician doctor also. He is a scouter in Jesuits Scout in Syria. He is always developing his talent with unstoppable online courses, ex:Coursera, and he gained more than 20 verified certifications in Information Technology and Programming[2][3][4][5], also got many honors from the Syrian Government.
