Mick Szal is an American model, stand-up comedian, actress, film director and musician of polish descent, best known for roles in TV series like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Blue Bloods, as well as in film (Joker)..[1]

Early life[edit]

Szal grew up in Delaware[2]. She attended Johns Hopkins University and got a degree in International relations with a minor in Economics and a concentration in communist studies.

Modeling carreer[edit]

Mick started her modeling career in New York City in 2011. She has been represented by agencies like Wilhelmina Models[3] and Women Management[4], and has worked on campaigns around the world for brands like William Rast, Galeries Lafayette, Armani and DVF.[5]

Stand-up comedy career[edit]

Mick started focusing on stand-up comedy since 2018 through the New York Drama Alumni Clan[6], an organization linked to Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. Her main genre of comedy is observational comedy.

Personal life[edit]

She plays the ukulele and is fluent in polish.

Acting career[edit]

Szal´s first formal acting role was in an episode of the seventeenth season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit entitled "Fashionable crimes". In 2018, she secured a role in the film Joker, in which she played the woman that is being harassed in the subway by three drunken Wayne Enterprises businessmen that are later killed by Arthur Fleck / Joker. Afterwards, she landed the role of Janice Bonner in Fox´s The Resident.

As of 2022, Szal´s last guest starred in episode 2 of season 13 of CBS´s Blue Bloods as "Milan", alongside Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck.[7]
