Arthur Fleck
Arthur fleck is the main character of the 2019 film Joker (2019 film). he is based off the DC comics character Joker (comics).
Background[edit]
Arthur fleck is a street performer, living in a small apartment with his mother, penny. Fleck suffers from a fictitious mental illness which causes him to laugh uncontrollably and seemingly random times. Despite this, Fleck's main goal is to become a successful Stand up comedian, inspired by popular television host, murray franklin, who fleck sees as something of a father figure.
Alongside his uncontrollable laughing, fleck seems to suffer from a variety of mental and physical illnisses, including frequent hallucinations, Anorexia, and an unhealthy relationship with his mother.
In 1981, fleck kills 3 Businessmen on a subway train with a pistol. This event causes a large movement in Gotham city, as people begin to riot while wearing clown masks. Fleck is viewed by everyone as a symbol for the oppressed, which he ultimately uses to his advantage.
