Micky Barnea
Michael "Micky" Barnea (Hebrew מיקי ברנע) is the managing partner at the Law Offices of Barnea & Co.[1]
Education & career[edit]
Barnea began his legal education at Tel Aviv University in 1988. During his studies, Barnea was appointed as a teaching assistant for Prof. Yosef Gross at the School of Business Administration.[1] In 2003, Barnea established Barnea & Co., a commercial law firm which employs over 80 attorneys.[2] Barnea also serves as the Middle East Liaison Officer of the IBA Law Firm Management Committee.[3] He lectures Israeli accelerators and incubators, in addition to serving as a mentor for young entrepreneurs.[4][5]
Barnea has provided counsel for Israeli companies in their commercial activities, including raising private and public capital, mergers, acquisitions, the transfer and sale of corporate control, restructuring, technological R&D, and intellectual property.[6] Barnea also represent public Israeli corporations traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and foreign exchanges – in London and the United States.[7][8][9][10]
Barnea is a legal advisor to public companies trading on both Israeli and foreign stock exchanges, as well as to foreign investors with stakes in Israeli publicly- traded companies. In the technology sphere, Barnea counsels a variety of early- and later-stage companies, as well as leading venture capital, corporate venture, and private equity investors. Barnea also manages cross-border technology-related transactions.[8][11][12][13]
Barnea was ranked in the international directory IFLR1000's 2018 rankings for Capital Markets: Equity and M&A areas.[14] Barnea was also ranked by the international directory Chambers & Partners in the corporate and technology fields.[15]
