Middle-Aged Queers is an LGBTQ punk rock band from Oakland that formed in 2018 after bassist Josh Levine made a post on Facebook looking for musicians to form a "Middle-Aged Queercore band[1][2]." Featuring ex-members of Fang, Yaphet Kotto, Insaints and The Cost, they quickly gained notoriety within the Bay Area queercore scene for their live performances.[3][4]

In 2020, the band released their first album, Too Fag For Love on Sell The Heart Records, a record label run by Andy Pohl of Tsunami Bomb[5]. In 2021, the band returned with "Size Queen," a split 7inch E.P. with fellow Bay Area queercore band Lolly Gaggers, serving as the first release for the queer-friendly record label Turkey Baster Records in nearly a decade.[6]

In 2021, Mag Delana parted ways with the band and was replaced by Fureigh, formerly of The Shondes.[7]

In 2022, the band released their second album, "Shout at the Hetero," on Say-10 Records, embarking on several tour dates in support of the album including large punk rock festivals performances at Punk Rock Bowling, Montreal's Pouzza Festival and Gainesville, Florida's The Fest.

The band has received mixed reviews, with some reviewers calling them cartoonish[8] or taking issues with graphic nature of songs.[9], while others viewed the lyrical approach as a smart way of discussing difficult topics.[10]
