Biography[edit]
Midnite City was formed in January 2017 by former Tigertailz vocalist and songwriter Rob Wylde. The band signed to German label AOR Heaven who released their self titled debut album in October 2017. After touring the UK and playing shows in Europe, they returned in 2018 with their sophomore album 'There Goes The Neighbourhood' which was voted as one of the best 100 albums of the 35 year history of Burrn magazine in Japan. Following another tour of the UK, plus European shows, the band played two sold out shows in Japan in October 2019.
In November 2019 the band released a limited edition five track acoustic EP titled 'Open Invite'.
In March 2020 Midnite City played shows in Australia before returning home to work on their third album. Switching labels from AOR Heaven to the UK based Roulette Media, the band released their third album 'Itch You Can't Scratch' in June 2021, then headed out on tour to support it. After a festival slot in Hamburg, Germany the band parted company with drummer Pete Newdeck.
In January 2023 Ryan Briggs was announced as the new drummer as work began on their fourth album, whilst switching labels again to German label Pride & Joy Music.
'In At The Deep End' was released in June 2023 to rave reviews around the world, many stating that it was the best bands best effort to date. The album was mixed by Grammy award winning producer Chris Laney (Europe/ Crash Diet/ Crazy Lixx) and the band headed out in tour in the summer of 2023 to promote it.
In September 2023 it was announced that Midnite City would be returning to Japan in December.
