Midori Natsume (Japanese: 夏目翠; born June 21, 1995) is a Japanese Professional Mahjong player. She was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Keio University. She belongs to Japan Professional Mahjong League. She is also employed by a company as a full-time worker. She balances both a work life and a Professional Mahjong player life. [1]

Profile

Midori discovered the charm of mahjong when she was a university student. Since the company which she received a job offer from allows employees to work as a side job, she took and passed the examination for a Professional Mahjong player license by Japan Professional Mahjong League.

  • Her favorite quote is "I know that I know nothing."
  • Her favorite foods are Shabu-shabu, strawberries, and tapioca in drinks. Her disliked food is banana.[2]

KONAMI Mahjong Fight Club

Midori joined as a new official Professional player in Mahjong Fight Club from the Fan Voting event 2020 Japan Professional Mahjong League in July 2020. She received 1,692,067 votes from her fans and was ranked 8th as a women professional player, but she was ranked 1st among new official Professional players.[3]
