Émile Charles Baillargeon-Laberge is a Canadian professional wrestler and fourth degree black belt Tae Kwon Doist, better known by the ring name "SpeedBall" Mike Bailey.

He has frequently worked for independent promotions including Capital City Championship Combat, International Wrestling Syndicate, Evolve, Combat Zone Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. In addition to the United States and Canada, he has appeared internationally in promotions such as Mexico's Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), Germany's Westside Xtreme Wrestling (WXW), Great Britain's Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW) and and Japan's Dramatic Dream Team (DDT).

He is a former IWS World Heavyweight Champion and KO-D Tag Team Champion. Bailey was also the winner of DDT's 2016 DNA Grand Prix and CZW's 2015 Best of the Best tournaments.

Professional wrestling career

Early Career (2006-2010)

In 2006, Bailey began training at the age of 15 with Fred "La Merveille" at the Montreal Wrestling Federation. Despite his training with MWF, Bailey had his first match at Paul Leduc's Fédération de Lutte Québécoise in early 2006. Bailey made his IWS debut on January 10, 2009 at Season's Beatings, and stayed there until the promotion held its (then) final show on October 9, 2010.

Capital City Championship Combat (2010–present)

On May 1, 2010 at Stand Alone, Bailey made his C4 debut with a loss to Player Uno. On September 25, 2010 at Re-Ignition, Kevin Steen defeated Bailey. On March 26, 2011 at Level Up, Bailey lost to El Generico. On April 30, 2011 at Domination 2K11, Bailey & Kevin Steen defeated Josh Alexander & Michael Von Payton to win the C4 Tag Team Championship. On November 11, 2011 at R)Evolution 613, Bailey lost to Brodie Lee. On March 9, 2013 at Level Up, Bailey defeated Michael Elgin. On June 15, 2013 at Crossing The Line 6, Bailey defeated Josh Alexander and Scotty O'Shea in a Three Way Dance to win the C4 Championship. On May 3, 2014 at The Warriors, Bailey defeated Kevin Steen. On June 21, 2014 at Crossing The Line 7, Bailey defeated Biff Busick. On December 19, 2014 at Jingle All The Way, Bailey defeated Stu Grayson in the Snowbrawl 2014 Tournament Final Match.

International Wrestling Syndicate (2014–present)

IWS returned with Praise the Violence on May 10, 2014 where Bailey joined the faction named Salvation with Alex Silva, "Dirty" Buxx Belmar and manager Nic Paterson. On August 23, 2014 at XV:15 FKN Years, Salvation defeated The Green Phantom, SeXXXy Eddy and Tommy Dreamer. On September 20, 2014 at Scarred 4 Life, Bailey won the IWS World Heavyweight Championship against The Green Phantom in an IWS Title Match. On March 28, 2015 at Un F'N Sanctioned, Bailey defeated Hallowicked & Jesse Neal in a Triple Threat IWS Title Match. At Scarred 4 Life on September 5, 2015 at the Corona Theatre, Bailey retained the IWS World Heavyweight Championship against Jack Evans. IWS presented Un F'N Sanctioned on March 5, 2016 at the Métropolis, where Bailey lost his IWS World Heavyweight Championship to Black Dynamite in a 4-Way IWS Title Match, which also included Rey Mysterio and Jack Evans. Since early December 2015, Mike Bailey holds the record as the longest consecutive IWS World Heavyweight Championship title holder at 530 days.

Combat Zone Wrestling (2014–2016)

Bailey first competed in CZW at Best Of The Best XIII on April 12, 2014, where he lost to AR Fox in the First Round 3-Way Match. On July 12, 2014 at New Heights, Bailey lost to Biff Busick in a CZW World Heavyweight Title Match. On April 11, 2015, Bailey defeated Andrew Everett & Buxx Belmar in Round 1, CJ Parker in Round 2 and Jonathan Gresham in the Final, becoming the Best of the Best XIV winner. On September 12, 2015 at Down With The Sickness, AR Fox defeated Bailey in the Best Of The Best 14 Trophy Ladder Match. On February 13, 2016 at Seventeen, Sami Callihan defeated Bailey.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (2015-2016)

Bailey debuted for Southern California-based Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in February 2015, losing to Biff Busick at From Out Of Nowhere. The following month at Don't Sweat The Technique, Bailey lost to Trevor Lee. On May 22, Bailey entered DDT4, replacing Chris Sabin as Matt Sydal's partner, losing to eventual winners Andrew Everett and Trevor Lee in the first round. The following month at Mystery Vortex, Bailey unsuccessfully challenged Roderick Strong for the PWG World Championship. Bailey picked up his first win in PWG the following month at Threemendous IV, defeating Chris Hero in what many considered to be an upset. In August, Bailey entered the 2015 Battle Of Los Angeles Tournament, defeating Drew Galloway in the first round and Tommy End and Will Ospreay in the second, making it to the final, facing Zack Sabre Jr and Chris Hero in a triple threat match, won by Sabre. At All Star Weekend XI, Bailey lost to Kenny Omega on the first night, but teamed with Candice LeRae, Joey Ryan, Chris Hero and Kyle O'Reilly to defeat Mount Rushmore 2.0 (Roderick Strong, The Young Bucks and Adam Cole) in a ten man Guerrilla Warfare match the next day. The following month, Bailey lost to Cole in a singles match. Bailey's last appearance in PWG to date was on February 12, 2016, defeating Evil Uno.

International Tours (2015–present)

In 2015, Bailey's growing popularity led him to work for Evolve (43, 44, 47 & 48) in May & August. From mid-October to mid-November 2015, he toured in Mexico with AAA. In March 2016, Bailey participated in the 16 Carat Gold Tournament for wXw in Germany. On June 12, 2016 at Angle Vs. Sabre Jr., Bailey was defeated by Will Ospreay; while on July 10, 2016 at Summer Sizzler, Marty Scurll defeated Bailey in the UK at RPW.

DDT Pro (2016-present)

After he was banned from entering the United States, Bailey began working internationally and debuted for Japanese promotion DDT in August 2016, losing to Isami Kodaka. The following day, Bailey competed in a special Royal Rumble as Mike Tajiri, where all of the wrestlers involved dressed and acted like current and former WWE Superstars. On August 28, Bailey teamed with Dick Togo in a tag team match, losing to Damnation (Daisuke Sasaki and Tetsuya Endo). In October, Bailey entered the DNA Grand Prix, finishing first in his block and defeating Kazusada Higuchi in the finals to win the tournament. On November 23 at God Bless DDT, Bailey lost to Daisuke Sasaki. Three days later, Bailey teamed with Konosuke Takeshita to defeat Tetsuya Endo and Mad Paulie. On December 4 at Osaka Octopus, Bailey and Takeshita defeated Endo and Sasaki to win the KO-D Tag Team Championships and successfully defended them one week later against Danshoku Dino and Keisuke Ishii. On January 3, Bailey unsuccessfully challenged Harashima for the KO-D Openweight Championship, and on January 9, he and Takeshita lost the KO-D Tag Team Championships to Masakatsu Funaki and Yukio Sakaguchi.

Bailey was a long-time favourite to represent Canada in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic with Daniel Bryan quoted as saying; "I'd like to see "Speedball" Mike Bailey, because I like intense people like him."

In March 2016, while attempting to travel to Florida to compete for Evolve, Bailey was stopped by US border control who found that he had no work visa, and Bailey was subsequently banned from entering the United States for the next five years.
