Michael Elliott Bianucci (born June 26, 1986) is an American minor league baseball right fielder currently in the Kansas City Royals organization.

He was born in Fairfax, Virginia. Prior to playing professionally, he attended Wilbert Tucker Woodson High School. As a pitcher, he was 9-1 with a 2.61 ERA as a high school junior and 7-2 with a 2.42 ERA as a senior, while hitting .526 with 10 home runs. He finished his high school career with a .508 average and 37 steals in 37 tries. While with the Reston Hawks, he set the Clark Griffith Collegiate Baseball League home run record with 12 the summer before he began college.[1]

He then attended Auburn University, where he played from 2006 to 2008. In 2006, he hit .359/.400/.564 with eight home runs and 31 RBI in 45 games. He was named All-Southeastern Conference at designated hitter, a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, a Baseball America Second Team Freshman All-American, an SEC All-Freshman member and an American Baseball Coaches Association First Team All-Region selection. Prior to 2007, he was named a Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All-American. In 2007, he batted .326/.427/.640 with 14 home runs and 51 RBI in 47 games. He was named second-team All-SEC in the outfield, an ABCA Second Team All-Region outfielder and the Most Valuable Player of the Coca-Cola Classic. Though some scouts thought he could go as high as the fifth round, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim drafted him in the 23rd round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft.[2] He opted not to sign and returned for one more year at Auburn. Prior to the 2008 campaign, he was named a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Preseason All-America Second Team outfielder. Bianucci hit .320/.438/.635 with 13 home runs and 45 RBI in 56 games that year.[3] He hit .335 with 35 home runs in his career at Auburn.[4] The Texas Rangers took him in the eighth round of that year's amateur draft and he inked a contract. The signing scout was Jeff Wood.

In his professional debut, he slugged .535, while batting .316 with four home runs and 21 RBI, in 31 games for the Spokane Indians. In 2009, he hit .288/.353/.561 with 30 home runs and 90 RBI in 122 games between the Hickory Crawdads and Bakersfield Blaze. During the week of April 20, he was named South Atlantic League Player of the Week and he was also a SAL Mid-Season All-Star that year.[5] With Bakersfield in 2010, he hit .258 with 18 home runs and 72 RBI in 120 games. That year, he earned one Player of the Week honor and was also named the MiLB.com Class A Best Single Game Performer. With the Frisco RoughRiders in 2011, he hit 30 home runs in 133 games and was an MiLB.com Organization All-Star and a Texas League Mid-Season All-Star. In 2012, he hit 15 home runs in 89 games split between the AZL Rangers (five games) and Triple-A Round Rock Express (84 games). He also played a few spring training games with the Rangers that year. In his first taste of Triple-A baseball, he hit .268 with 14 home runs and 51 RBI. Back with Round Rock in 2013 after appearing in a few spring training games with the Rangers, he hit .281 with a .536 slugging percentage, 12 home runs and 46 RBI in 56 games. He earned a Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honor.[6] In April 2014, the Rangers cut ties with Bianucci. He spent 2014 in the Los Angeles Angels system, hitting .274 with 12 home runs and 49 RBI in 62 games for the Arkansas Travelers, and in the Mexican League, hitting .258 with 10 home runs and 18 RBI in 24 games between the Leones de Yucatan and Acereros de Monclova.[7] Overall, he hit .269 with 22 home runs and 67 RBI that year.[8] Following the campaign, he was granted free agency. On February 9, 2015, he signed with the Royals.[9]

He has also played in the Dominican Winter League[10] and the Puerto Rican Winter League.
