Mike Duggan is a Canadian politician who was elected to the Gatineau City Council in 2013. Prior to his election, he worked as a self-employed consultant. On April 4th, 2019, Duggan was selected as candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada for Hull—Aylmer in the 2019 Canadian federal election. [1][2]
Political career[edit]
He was initially elected to the district of Lucerne in 2013, before switching to the district of Deschênes District in the 2017 election. He currently serves as the chairman of the Audit Committee on City Council.[3]
Personal life[edit]
Duggan married his wife, Yuko, in 2013. He has three children, with whom he currently resides with in Aylmer. He is fluently bilingual.
Duggan was born in North Bay, Ontario, where he spent his childhood. He studied chemistry at the University of Waterloo before leaving to teach in Osaka, Japan for three years. During the time that he was completing his master's degree in environmental sciences, he worked as a civil servant in information technology and programming for the federal government.
