Mike Ferry (born Michael David Ferry) is an American businessman, real estate coach, motivational speaker, author and investor. He is the founder and current CEO of The Mike Ferry Organization, the world's first real estate coaching and training company. Over the course of his four decades long career, he has become known as one of the most influential individuals in real estate.[1]

Early Life[edit]

Ferry was born on June 20, 1945, in Minnesota. As a young man, he was heavily inspired by American author Napoleon Hill, and Earl Nightingale, author of The Strangest Secret and founder of Nightingale-Conant, whom he considered a friend and mentor.[2]

Career[edit]

Before 1975:[edit]

Ferry began his career with Nightingale-Conant where he was quickly promoted to the position of national training director, responsible for the sales activities of 1,300 people. He soon made the decision to move into the residential real estate field as a sales person. After a meteoric career of selling homes and becoming one of the top agents in the state of California, Ferry made the decision to launch his own company.[3]

1975 – 1985:[edit]

Ferry founded The Mike Ferry Organization in 1975, with one goal in mind: to enhance any real estate agent’s ability to be more productive and profitable. During the early days of the company, only seminars, cassette tapes and training programs were offered.

1985 – present:[edit]

Ferry began offering business consulting and real estate coaching services in 1985. As the founder and CEO of the first coaching company in the real estate industry, Ferry's training programs have been used to train millions of agents internationally over his career. The Mike Ferry Organization employs over 100 people in North America.[4] The company provides real estate coaching, sales training programs for real estate agents, brokers, and mortgage professionals. The Organization's website also provides multi-media educational materials, DVDs, CDs, books, workbooks, reports, retreats, coaching, seminars, and many complimentary telephone sales scripts.[5]

Ferry developed his aggressive phone sales system that is his signature and has helped many agents exceed $1 million in annual income over the span of his career.[6] Beyond the phones, Ferry offers a very regimented approach to working with buyers and sellers of real estate.[7] His seminars draw thousands and are known for straightforward simplicity and bombastic humor.[8]

Publications[edit]

Ferry has released a number of books throughout his career, including Real Estate According to Mike Ferry, Straight to the Point, and Creating Bigger Profits.
