Tom Ferry (born Thomas Andrew Ferry) is an American business coach, motivational speaker, self-help author, investor, and founder of a real estate coaching[1] and events company, Tom Ferry International.

Authorship[edit]

Ferry’s first book “Life! By Design” was released in 2010 by Ballantine Books and became a New York Times bestseller in March 2010.[2] The book was co-authored by Laura Morton and is about four addictions.[3] Ferry's second book "Mindset, Model and Marketing!" was released in 2017 and became an Amazon bestseller in August 2017. The book compiled information from Tom Ferry's popular YouTube series, the #TomFerryShow, into a definitive guidebook for real estate professionals.

Career[edit]

Tom Ferry got his start by working for his father, real estate entrepreneur Mike Ferry. He then decided to start his own competitive coaching company in 2005. Ferry’s coaching company Tom Ferry International was created in 2005 and is located in Irvine, CA. The company hosts events and conferences and offers coaching services[4] and mentorship[5] for real estate agents.[6] Additionally, Ferry also coaches[7] real estate agents[8] and trains other coaches. He is also ranked on the Swanepoel Power 200 list,[9] which is for the 200 most powerful people in residential real estate.

Personal life[edit]

Tom Ferry is married to Kathy Ferry, and they have two sons Michael and Steven. His father is Mike Ferry, real estate agent coach and speaker. Tom started his career working for his father and rising to running the company before breaking off and starting his own firm in the same business.
