Mike Murray (politician)
Mike Murray was born on (September 20, 1966) in Manchester, England. Mike has been married to Yvonne (Braun) Murray since 1990. They together have three daughters and one grandchild.
Mike is the executive assistant to the Honourable Ed Fast,[1] Member of Parliament for Abbotsford. Mike served as executive assistant to Randy Kamp[2] from 2011 - 2015.
In 2015, Mike sought the nomination[3] for the Conservative Party of Canada in the federal riding of Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge. On August 22, 2015,[4] 20 days after the election period had begun, Mike defeated BC Liberal MLA Marc Dalton.[5]
On October 19, 2015 Mike lost[6] the seat in a very close race to federal Liberal Dan Ruimy.
Mike Murray[7] is still very active in local politics[8][9] and in the Conservative Party in Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge.[10]
