Mike Rosa is an American fitness expert and entrepreneur based in Greater Boston. He is best known for Anabolic Aliens with over 865k subscribers on his YouTube channel.[1] In 2019, Mike appeared on an episode of Discovery Channel’s reality tv show Man Vs Bear.[2]

Early life and education[edit]

Mike was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Chelmsford High School in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In 2013, he graduated from Chelmsford High School.[3] Rosa then first attended Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts as a recruit to play baseball. After his first semester, he transferred to the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire and began competing in powerlifting. In 2014, Mike received his personal training certification from ISFTA. In 2017, Rosa graduated from the University of New Hampshire with his bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Wellness.[3]

Career[edit]

Initially, Mike started his career as a personal trainer for Cassa Health & Wellness.[4] In 2014, Rosa launched his Youtube Channel Anabolic Aliens and released his first fitness video, which garnered positive feedbacks from audience. As of January 2021, Anabolic Aliens has over 851K subscribers and over 115 million views.[5]

In 2015, he began running group fitness classes for strength training and high intensity interval training at his college, the University of New Hampshire.

In 2018, under his company Anabolic Aliens LLC, Mike launched a mobile app called Exerprise - Workout & Meal Plan Generator, which is available to iOS and Android users.[6][7] Through his website AnabolicAliens.com, he sells exclusive fitness memberships, online personal training, resistance bands and exercise mats.

TV appearance[edit]

In 2019, he was featured on an episode of Discovery Channel’s reality tv show Man Vs Bear. Mike appeared on episode 2 of the Man Vs Bear. Rosa’s TV debut sparked international notoriety for his name beyond the Anabolic Aliens brand. In the show, they did challenges against grizzly bears.[2]

  • Broke the bench press and total weight lifted world records in the RPS powerlifting federation[8]
  • Broke New England records for powerlifting in the Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift, and Total Weight Lifted in the RPS federation[9]
  • Won best lifter in Massachusetts in the USAPL powerlifting federation[10]
  • Nominated by IFAH as a top 100 leader worldwide in the health & wellness industry
