Professional Life[edit]

In 2006, Wenner founded the DLP Capital family of companies[4], a private real estate investment and financial services group focused on making an impact on crises in America such as the affordable housing and related jobs, legacy and happiness crises. The firm operates real estate investment funds and uses the capital to acquire[5] [6], develop, and build relationships, housing, leaders, and organizations.

DLP Capital has an expansive array of business divisions and companies including real estate investment funds, commercial real estate lending, construction management[7], development[8], sales, leasing, title services, and loan servicing. The firm has more than $3 billion of assets under management and under Wenner’s stewardship, DLP Capital’s revenues over three years grew 256%, placing it in the top 10 among all companies and #2 for all real estate firms that made the Inc. 5000 list 10 years in a row [9] [10].

Wenner created an entrepreneurial “Elite Execution System,” which teaches people and organizations how to promote discipline, structure, and accountability to effectively achieve success and growth, whether personally or professionally[11]. He is the bestselling author of “Building an Elite Organization: The Blueprint to Scaling a High-Growth, High-Profit Business.” The book has been ranked as a bestseller in USA Today[12] , the Wall Street Journal[13], and an Amazon bestseller. Wenner has leveraged this elite business model and teaches the execution system to other real estate entrepreneurs[14].

In June 2021, Wenner created Impact with Don Wenner, a podcast focused on impact investing[15]. Also in 2021, Wenner changed the name of his organization from DLP Real Estate Capital to DLP Capital to reflect the company's expanded mission[16].

In December 2021, Wenner's firm bought the former PPL Plaza Building in downtown Allentown, PA, making it the firm's regional HQ (Main HQ is in St Augustine, FL)[18].

In August 2022, Wenner's firm DLP Capital made the Inc.5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America for the 10th straight year[19]
