Mikelle Moore is Senior Vice President and Chief Community Health Officer of Intermountain Healthcare.[1] Prior to that, she served as the Vice President of Community Benefit at Intermountain Healthcare and continues to serve as the President of the Intermountain Community Care Foundation since 2011. She also served as the 13th Administrator of Intermountain’s LDS Hospital from 2004 to 2011.[2]

Early life and education[edit]

She received a degree in physiology from the University of Arizona. She then went on to get her Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona.[3][4] She is a certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Career[edit]

After completing her master's degree, Mikelle started her career working in a provider-owned health plan and at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Mikelle then joined Intermountain in 2008 as an Administrative Fellow. Mikelle served as the administrator of Intermountain Healthcare's LDS Hospital from 2004 to 2011. Mikelle is Intermountain's senior vice president and chief community health officer.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mikelle served as a member of the COVID-19 Community Task Force under the direction of Lt. Governor and now Governor of Utah Spencer Cox (politician).[5] Mikelle co-chairs the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce's Roadmap to Recovery Coalition alongside Scott Parson, CEO, Staker Parson Materials & Construction.[6]

Mikelle engages in various speaking engagements on subjects including health equity,[7][8] leadership,[9] and addressing the social determinants of health.[10]

Mikelle was named among Modern Healthcare's "Women to Watch" in 2019.[11] In 2021, Mikelle was named on of Modern Healthcare's "Top 25 Women Leaders."[12]

Boards and memberships[edit]

Mikelle serves on the American Hospital Association's Population and Community Health Advisory Committee and the National Alliance to Impact the Social Determinants of Health. Mikelle also serves on various local boards, including United Way of Salt Lake,[13][14] Envision Utah,[15] and Shelter the Homeless.[16]
