Mila is a tech service platform. On their website, users can find, book, and rate tech-savvy people or offer their technical know-how. Some businesses use Mila to build a service community around their products and services, while others expand their service offerings using a crowd consisting of verified Mila Service Partner (Mila Friends) and professional service providers (Mila Pros). [2]

History[edit]

Chris Viatte (CEO and founder of Mila) was working at Swisscom - the largest telecommunications provider in Switzerland - when he had the idea for a tech service: Simple technical installation work is carried out on demand by Techies from the neighbourhood. To set up a pilot for this crowd service, Chris teamed up with Manuel Grenacher and his new service platform mila.com. The Mila story begins and the first Mila Friend did his job. The pilot was a complete success. Mila brings Swisscom customers throughout Switzerland together with Mila partners and the services are carried out satisfactorily. This makes Mila a significant influence on costs and NPS values for Swisscom's customer service. Further companies show interest and Mila starts its expansion into Germany, Austria, France and Great Britain. With the relaunch of mila.com, Mila is now focusing even more strongly on its customers and the promise of "empowering people". Every day. With just a few clicks. [3]

Mila Service Partner[edit]

Mila is composed of 9,500 service partners. Service partners include Mila Friends and Mila Professionals. Mila Friends are technically experienced private individuals who also help individuals from their neighborhood with simple technical problems. Mila professionals, on the other hand, are professional service providers with many years of practical experience who carry out more extensive service orders. The Mila Service Partners process around 10,000 service orders per month in over 150 cities in the DACH region as well as in France. [4]

Locations[edit]

Mila has offices based in Zurich and Berlin.

Enterprise Partner[edit]

Mobile application[edit]

In February 2017, Mila released a new app for providers and customers. The App brings customers and service providers for technical and electrical installations together on one platform. With the new app, customers can book technical support on the desired date or immediately, supported by the Mila Bot Assistant.[6]
