Millennium Campus Network (MCN) is a global non-profit organization training and supporting undergraduates advancing sustainable development goals, based in Boston, Massachusetts.[1] MCN was founded in 2007 by Sam Vaghar and Seth Werfel, who were students at Brandeis University in Massachusetts.[2][3]

The network provides training and support to student leaders through programs including the Millennium Fellowship[5], convenings and the Global Generation Awards[6][7]and bolstering student-led campaigns that advance the SDGs [8][9][10]
As a leadership development network for undergraduates, MCN counts Rhodes Scholars and Truman Scholars[11] among its alumni.
Millennium Fellowship Program[edit]
In April 2018, MCN launched the Millennium Fellowship Program in partnership with United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI). Students are awarded the leadership development fellowship for one semester. In 2018, applications were received from students at 285 institutions based in 57 countries.[12]
In 2019, there were 7,020 applicants on 1,209 campuses in 135 nations.[13][14] Millennium Fellows have been selected and taken action to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals at universities including:

- Cornell University[18]
- Georgetown University[19]
- Northeastern University[20]
- University of Pennsylvania[21]
Global Generation Awards[edit]
Since 2011, MCN honors leaders who use their global platform for positive impact as Global Generation Award winners. Recipients include:[citation needed]
- Leymah Gbowee, activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate
- Ban Ki-moon, eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations
- Jameela Jamil, actress and activist
- John Kerry, US Secretary of State
- Terry Crews, actor and activist
- Carrie Hessler-Radelet, director of the Peace Corps
