Mina Kumari Lama (Nepali: मिना कुमारी लामा) is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the CPN (Unified Socialist). Lama Is the current mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.[1] She previously also served as deputy mayor from 2017 to 2022.[2][3]
She was the then UML Makwanpur deputy secretary and the student in-charge. Lama become the Makwarpur District secretary of All Nepal Woman's Association, she become the central member of the Nepal Democratic Tribute Tribe action the vice president of the tribal district coordinate Committee of Makwanpur.
Early and personal life[edit]
Mina Kumari Lama was born in Hetauda in a Tibetan Buddhism family to parents Shukrabir Lama and Sita Devi Lama. Lama married Suna Bahadur Lama. She has a son, Supen Lama and a one daughter.[citation needed]
Political career[edit]
Lama become UML Makwanpur deputy secretary and the student in-charge. In 2015, she become the Makwarpur District secretary of All Nepal Woman's Association. She hold various positions in her political journey and the current she is the mayor of a Sub-Metropolitan City and a central member of CPN (Unified Socialist).
There are 104,473 registered voters in Hetauda sub-metro, among them, 64,873 voters cast their votes. Lama's close rival Ananta Prasad Poudel got 20,9038 votes.
Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan mayor[edit]
Mina Kumari Lama was supported by five ruling coalition party (NC, CPN (MC), CPN (US), PSP-N, and Janamorcha Nepal) for the local election held on 13 May 2022. Lama got 23,080 votes and was elected as the 5th mayor of Hetauda.[4]
