Minhaj Shifat (Bengali: :মিনহাজ সিফাত) is a Bangladeshi composer, Director, musician, singer, lyricist, tune maker & Presenter. His works are a fusion of semi-classical, soft rock, pop, and melody with experimental beats. His music is mainly influenced by Folk, Sufi & classical singers & musicians, from when he was a little boy.
Early and personal life
Minhaj Shifat was born and grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He attends Bangladesh Bank High School in Faridabad and graduated from Bangladesh National University. His father, Kamal Uddin, is a Businessman and his mother is a housewife. He has a brother & two sisters; he is the second child. His younger sister, Munia, is also a singer and younger brother Monjurul Rifat is a brilliant Musician.
Career
Minhaj Shifat has made his debut with the album KOTHA. Shifat started to work with various artists as a music producer & director. He has produced most of his music albums & songs. In 2012, Shifat released his first album KOTHA which achieved success in Bangladesh & Kolkata's many areas. Following the next few years, Shifat released few albums — BHINNO (2014) and KOTHA-2 (2015) , where he has showcased various singers. Shifat debuted as a vocalist in the "Kotha" title song of the album KOTHA. Besides album work, On 2011, Shifat joined Radio Dhaka as a guest RJ for a special show. After that, he continues his profession as a show producer, presenter & music scheduler. [Shifat] created jingles & IDs for this Renowned FM Station DhakaFM 90.4 & show Rongin Dhaka, and besides this he also created the signature tune for N.D.N.D [Natre Damn Natya dal] 2014. He also composed songs for Drama, Telefilm & short film such as Damn Care Nazimuddin, Award [Telefilm], Dotana Futani Babu, Action Cut Director, Ekjon Nirar Golpo, Ek Britte Duti Kushum, Ajker Bishesh Otithi, Chandu Miar Dhaka Sofor, Chakka Panja, Tultul er Shopno [Short Film], etc.[1][2]
