Miracle Nelson is a Nigerian dancer, choreographer, model, actor, athlete, and bodybuilder.[1] He is widely known for participating in Dance with Peter (2015) and the Netflix series Physical 100.[2]
Early life and education
Miracle's full name is Miracle Nelson Chinonso; he was born in Kano State, but was raised in Abuja, Nigeria. He attended the Mobile Dance Academy in Jos and graduated with a diploma in dance. He studied Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the National Open University, Nigeria from 2013 to 2016. After moving to Korea, he pursued Modern Dance as a major at Yeungnam University, South Korea.[3]
Career
In 2015, he was among the top ten candidates in Dance with Peter reality show.[4]
Miracle was a dancer and was interested in K-Pop. He visited South Korea along with his group and won the K-Pop World Festival in 2015.[5] The Korean embassy invited Nelson to work as a K-Pop instructor and promote Korean culture in Nigeria because of the success his team had achieved.[6]
In 2017, he worked in the Korean Cultural Center, Abuja where he taught Korean dance style, K-Pop. His dance moves have created an impact on people and augmented his fan following.[7] In 2019, he competed in Ki Sports Dance Olympiad and secured third place.
In 2020, Miracle appeared as a backup dancer in Dalsoobin’s “Dive” music video and OnlyOneOf’s “Who’s that?”[8]
Miracle performed in music videos such as, “Jun U-KISS,” “[G] I-DLE,” and “Dalsobin,” and for Only One Of, the South Korean boy band, and Park Su-bin, a singer. He has participated in numerous national events as a dancer and choreographer. He performed at the Daegu International Dance Festival. In 2020, he participated in the Daegu International Dance Festival as a dancer. In 2022, he attended the Busan International Dance Festival as a contemporary judge.[9]
Shows
Miracle was invited to participate in the show Physical100 by an entertainment agency and he went for the audition.[10] He was selected as a contestant in Physical 100. He reached the pre-finale of the show.[11]
