Mirage is a french drama /thriller directed by Christophe Beaucourt released in 2019. It was released on DVD in the United States before it was screened in the Paris theatre le Saint-André-des-Arts end of 2019.
Synopsis[edit]
Somewhere in an undetermined megalopolis, Charlie is a desperate photographer, he’s losing his sight. He has a degenerative eye disease that causes hallucinations, and he must find the necessary money to have surgery. His friend Tony ruined himself trying to get a possible cure for his wife Margot, She has a rare disease, she suffers, she’s doomed. She wishes to die. If Tony gets Margot's life insurance back, he can pay Charlie's operation. For this, Charlie must fake a burglary that goes wrong in which Margot will be killed.

The movie has been produced with 5 000 euros which were just enough to finance food during the shooting. Most of actors are non professionnal. Some of them as the technical crew are from Paris punk scene. The shooting set mainly in Paris area. A couple of scenes were shot in Netherlands and Belgium.
The soundtrack includes songs from french punk bands (Holy Hoster, King Phantom, Louis Lingg & the Bombs, Outreau, the Panty Party, Spermicide, Warum Joe) and a track from Sonic Death, a punk garage band from Saint-Petersbourg
