Miraj Group is an Indian conglomerate, headquartered in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. It was founded in 1987 at Nathdwara by Madan Paliwal, a business leader and a philanthropist. The Group now operates in about 20 countries worldwide in leading sectors such as FMCG, real estate, pipes and fittings, printing and packaging, entertainment and retail. In 2008 the group started exporting its products to international markets.

Each Miraj company operates under the guidance and supervision of Paliwal including Miraj Entertainment, Miraj Developers, Miraj Multicolor, Miraj PVC Pipes & Fittings, Miraj FMCG, Miraj Engineering, Miraj Retail, Miraj Miracle.

Started out in 1987 by Founder and Chairman Madan Paliwal, the company initially dealt in tobacco in India, later diversifying its business into multinational segments such as printing, packaging and stationary, retail, entertainment, and FMCG.

Miraj Started as a tobacco brand in India in 1987, with major presence in states of Rajasthan, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa & Karnataka.

In 2001 the group established Miraj Multicolor Pvt. Ltd in the business of printing, packaging and stationery products.[1]

Subsequently, Miraj Retails, a dedicated FMCG sister concern was launched introducing products like tea, washing soaps, toasts, snacks, sweets under the brand name Miraj, and winning the 2018 award for "Excellence in Retail Business".[2]

In 2005 the group established “Miraj Pipes & Fittings Pvt. Ltd.” a subsidiary in uPVC, HDPE pipes and fittings.[3]

Later, the group launched music and film production through Miraj Entertainment Ltd. It subsequently started a cinema division under its subsidiary Miraj Entertainment Ltd, as Miraj Cinemas.[4] The company is also a film producer, producing “Queens! Destiny of dance” focusing on the up market transgender community and stepping into mainstream cinema in India, co-producing movie “Tell me o kkhudda” with Hema Malini – Veteran Actress, Indian Cinema.

Corporate social responsibility[edit]

Miraj Group has made contribution in the areas of environment, animal husbandry and welfare, construction and maintenance of public infrastructure, and religious community preaching.

Established in 2001, “Santkripa Sanatan Sansthan”, is a non-profit charitable trust of Miraj Group that protects and rears cows. The trust inhabits[clarification needed] more than 1200 cows and is responsible for the cow welfare program such as regular health and medical checkups, vaccinations for cattle, cattle camps etc.[5]

Shri Deepchand Paliwal Senior Secondary School, Nathdwara and Shreeji Public School in Nathdwara are two educational institutes established by Miraj Group.

Volunteering in the city beautification program, has developed and taken responsibility of maintenance of Chetak Circle, located at the city center of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Similarly, Miraj Group has also developed RNT Medical College garden, MB Hospital Garden, T.B. Hospital Garden, Udaipur Airport Garden, etc.

A 351 feet (107m) high Lord Shiva statue is under construction at Nathdwara.[6] Rajasthan, India, an initiative by Miraj Group which is planned to be the tallest Shiva statue in the world. The foundation stone of this project was laid by Shree Morari Bapu on a hill at Ganesh Tekri on 18th August 2012. The statue will be completed by end of 2019. It will be the tallest statue of Lord Shiva in the world (100 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty).

Miraj Developers Pvt. Ltd. is building a 40m tall gateway to Nathdwara Rajasthan and a modern bus stand at Nathdwara,[7] [8] expected to be completed by the end of the year 2019.

Miraj Cricket Stadium was inaugurated in 2013 which is a multi-housed sport infrastructure in the region. The stadium is equipped with the latest amenities and holds facilities needed for sport training.[9] Also, Miraj Group has constructed tennis court facilities in Rajsamand.
