The competition was presented in Dutch by Francesca Vanthielen and in French by Jean-Michel Zecca and Sandrine Corman, Miss Belgique 1997. It was broadcast by RTL-TVI in Wallonia and by VTM in Flanders.
The voting was aired on two separate episodes, the semi-final and the grand finale.
The winner, Ellen Petri, succeeded Julie Taton, Miss Belgium 2003.

Semi-finale
The semi-final of Miss Belgium 2004 was broadcasted on RTL-TVI and VTM on December 5, 2003. The choice of the viewers for the candidates was based on reports made during the provincial voting and the trip to Senegal.[1]
The votes of the public counted for only 50%, while the other half included only the votes of the jury, which had already made its choice in Senegal.

Notes about the candidates
- Deniz Ates, Miss Brussels, is of Turkish descent. She was voted Miss Schaerbeek 2003[2].
- Sylwia Chwaliszewska, is of Polish origin.
- Lindsy Dehollander, finished as 1st runner-up in Miss West Coast 2003.
- Véronique Parete, Miss Namur, finished as 2nd runner up in Miss Fleurus 2003.
- Mélissa Debuisson, second runner-up of Miss Namur, was voted 1st runner-up of Miss Corso 2001, Miss Patinoire 2001, Miss Wépion, Miss Charleroi and Miss Fêtes of Wallonie.
- Marielle Botty, Miss Province of Liège is the only contestant to have won unanimous support after 1963 in a Provincial competition : Prix du Jury, Prix de la Presse and Prix du Public.
