The Miss Grand Japan (Japanese: ミ ス · グ ラ ン ド · ジ ャ パ ン) is an annual national beauty pageant first held in 2013,[1] with winner advancing to compete at the Miss Grand International pageant. The pageant also crowns representatives to Face of Beauty International, Miss Global International and Reinado Internacional del Cafe. The next pageant is 24 August 2015 in Tokyo.
The pageant[edit]
The debut Miss Grand Japan pageant was held in 2013 and is now an annual event. The aim of Miss Grand Japan is to promote international peace initiatives; its motto is Stop the War and Violence. The winner of Miss Grand Japan represents the country at Miss Grand International in Thailand.[2]
Contestants must be unmarried Japanese nationals between 18 and 26 years of age in October of the year of the pageant, and must be active in anti-war activities.[3]
The 2015 Miss Grand Japan is scheduled for 24 August in Tokyo.
