Miss Millie's is a chain of fried chicken outlets, based in the city of Bristol, England. The company operate in ten locations in the West of England and South Wales, predominantly in Bristol.
History[edit]
The company began when Chairman Harry Latham,[1] who had built up the KFC business in the UK with partner Ray Allen, bought out the franchises for Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Cardiff. (KFC has since opened branches in all three areas in direct competition.[2]) Latham and his family were good friends with KFC founder Colonel Sanders and named Miss Millie's after Sanders' daughter Mildred.[3]
The first store opened on 31 July 1988. Its signature burger is Chicken in a Bun, followed by the Megabite.
Locations[edit]
Today Miss Millie's is run by Harry's four daughters and has 10 branches across Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Cardiff.
