Mithun Rajakumar is an Indian child actor who has appeared in films and Short films. Born in Chennai, India, Mithun had appeared in a tamil short film "Vaal Kaathadi" before the age of Eight. In 2018, He was signed on to portray a grandson in Pa. Ranjith's Tamil action drama film Kaala (2018 film), portraying the role of a 12 years old Elder Grandson.[1] whose Grand father was a Karikaalan "Kaala" (Rajinikanth), the leader of Dharavi opposes it to protect the area and his people. The Times of India rated the film 3.5 out of 5 and stated that Ranjith owes to his excellent technical crew for "helping him visualize and deliver this 51% Rajini-49% Ranjith movie"[2].He has been working in tamil film industry, winning positive reviews for his portrayals, particularly for his role in "Vaal Kaathadi"[3] (A Tamil Short) (2015). He has been shooting, as a child actor in lead role, for his upcoming project "Thai Engal Thamizh Nadey" since 2016[4] - a Music Album by Kollywood's Leading music composer Santhosh Narayanan.by p.k,g

Mithun Rajakumar was born in Chennai and grew up in the same. He does films in his free time as a child actor and love the attention and the camera shots.

His hobby is to play sports; football especially and He already have played football for few clubs in Chennai.He had even played in a few competitions like the under-10 state level matches and He also got the

Second Place in "The Frontline Trophy - 2014" "Under 10" - State level tournament held at Tirupur.His on learning goals are to master piano (music), acting and dancing to develop personality and character.Mithun has been Learning theatre Art from "Akkalam"- A Modern theatre group based out of Chennai for past 3 years.

Acting has always been His passion from watching Tamil movies as it is my influence watching the superheroes and the villians.

He had acted in a short film called “Vaal kaathadi” and received the best actor award and also great appreciation and awards from the Director KV Anand a renowned director in the Tamil film industry at INSTINCTS (Reels of Fire) on the 13 of march 2015 The official cultural extravaganza hosted by SSN Institutions, Chennai.

His Upcoming Project, as a Lead Performer[5] for which he has been travelling all over Tamilnadu for the shoot almost for three years, "Thai Engal Thamizh Nadey" [6]- a first ever non music video Santhosh Narayanan - shot inside Tamilnadu exploring the unseen, unknown places and facts about Tamilnadu The visuals show a boy taking in the scenic beauty of Tamil Nadu. The main purpose behind the song "Thai Engal Thamizh Nadey", sung by Sean Roldan, is to give a fresh perspective of the multitude of cultural and traditional values that is embodied in the land of Tamil Nadu to those who haven't explored the state. Live recordings of native musical instruments have also been undertaken as part of the shoot of this MUSIC VIDEO.

Mithun's debut feature film is Pa. Ranjith's bilingual[7] (Tamil/Telugu/Hindi) action drama film Kaala (2018 film) (2018) produced by Dhanush and portrayed the role of Super star Rajinikanth's Elder Grandson</ref>., the one who play cricket and in Rajinikanth intro scene. The film opened to positive reviews and film becomes the second highest opening weekend grosser in Australia[8]

Personal life[edit]

Mithun's father Rajakumar M is a fine art Graduate from College of fine arts chennai, and currently working as Lead Visual Designer in Cognizant US Based IT major. His mother Sureka is a Home maker and both his parents were originally from Chennai.[6]
