Mitnikov, Mitnikova, Mytnykov or Mytnykova (Russian: Митников, romanized: Mitnikov) (Ukrainian: Митников, romanized: Mytnykov) is a Russian/Ukrainian Surname of Ukrainian origin. Mitnikov derives from an occupation, coming from the Ukrainian “митник” (mytnyk) meaning customs officer. Like many Russian and Ukrainian surnames, they have different endings for male and female:
Male: (Russian: Митников, romanized: Mitnikov) (Ukrainian: Митников, romanized: Mytnykov)
