Mitra Rafee (Persian: میترا رفیع‎ born December 3, 1990, in Tehran) is an Iranian actress best known for her works in Columbus (2018), Gildokht (2022), Bihamegan (2021)[1] and "Noghtechinhaye Motassel be to" directed by Amirhossein Shafee in which she received a nomination and has won the best actress award in the 36th Fajr theatre festival.[2][3] Her other acting roles include Horses Behind the Window (2017) by Matei Vișniec, the monologue show of "Pulcherie Cafe", "From this Darkness", "Cherry Garden", "Rabbit's Hole", and the monologue show "Tannid", directed by Javad Esmaeeli.[4]

Education and career[edit]

Mitra Rafee received her master's degree in theatre from the University of Tehran. She started her career as a theatre performer before becoming a cinema and TV actress.[5] She made her acting debut in the series "From Destiny" (2019) and received early attention for her supporting role in Bihamegan" (2021)[6][7] and "Gildokht" (2022).[8][9]

In addition to acting, Rafee has directed theatre shows including "From this Darkness" and "Somehow like" which was nominated at Pakistan International Storytelling Festival.[10]
