By using its patented MixSCAN technology, Dubset is able to accurately monitor all music within its posted mixes, therefore providing copyright holders and artists with the proper compensation for their material.

MixSCAN' is a unique software that enables artists to collect royalties on their music found within DJ mixes, podcasts and mixtapes. It works by recognizing proprietary information that accurately tracks and reports songs within DJ mixes for royalty distribution. It is a RESTful job-based API that allows users to fingerprint individual files that may contain more than one song or artist over time. Each time a user makes a request to MixSCAN they will be returned with a small amount of metadata for the mix before the scan has actually taken place.[3]
