Mixtvision Games is a privately owned German video game publisher based in München and a division of media company Mixtvision Mediengesellschaft mbH.
History[edit]
Mixtvision Mediengesellschaft mbH was founded in 2006 by Sebastian Zembol as a book publishing (Mixtvision Verlag ) and TV production company. In 2012, Mixtvision Digital GmbH was founded as a complimentary company to produce and distribute digital content (“pikcha.tv ”, an online service for animated short films for kids; e-books). In 2013, Mixtvision Digital GmbH started branching out into the production and distribution of mobile apps for children (first release: “Maya the Bee: Flower Party”, 2013).[1][2]
In 2016, Mixtvision Digital GmbH became part of Mixtvision Mediengesellschaft mbH. The new division was re-positioned as Mixtvision Games, turning it into a cross-platform publisher for indie games[3] with a focus on narration[4][5] and unique art direction.[6]
Mixtvision Games is best known for publishing FAR: Lone Sails (2018),[7] developed by Okomotive, and Minute of Islands (2021),[8] developed by Studio Fizbin.
