Alex Obeheremen Usiabulu, (born June 3 1992) is a Nigerian reggae-Hip hop singer and a prolific song writer. Previously known by his stage name M-Lex, and recently goes by the artistic name Mlex Songz[2].He became stardom for his national hit songs like “Love Rain”[3].and “New Season”, to be consecutively aired on national and local radios in Nigeria.
Early life and education[edit]
He is the 4th of thirteen siblings , born in Irrua, a province under Edo state . In 2004, he attended State Primary School, Mafoluku Oshodi Lagos state, to continue his secondary school at Ajao Estate Senior Grammar School at Oshodi-Isolo Lagos state .

In 2016, he signed a record deal to Megalpoint Record’s, to release his debut single, entitled “love rain” alongside another national hit song, entitled “New season”, the songs were positively reviewed by music critics to gain national air play on radios and TV’s in Nigeria.
He has shared stages with mainstream artists and comedians like Seyi law, Olando Julius Ekemode [5], Sir Victor Uwaifo and few other pioneers of High life music in Nigeria.
Awards[edit]
In early 2012 , he received “The national inter -school music competition and academy award for 2nd Best runner up, under the “Individual category”, at the event, Olamide , Vector (rapper) were featured as guest artistes. The award was presented to him by K1 De Ultimate, and Julius Ekemode and a Nigerian famous saxophonist Bukky Sax.[6]
In late 2012, he was graced with another award from FM Ibadan own by Dr Yinka Ayefele for ( Radio Most Played Song) , entitled Love Rain, produced by iconic producer Ezekiel, popularly known as Eazy J,a multi-instrumentalist and a onetime producer of Shina Peters.
In 2018, he received a prestigious monarchs honour, Obaland Awards also known as Africa Grammy under the national category of Obaland music award for best Nigeria reggae song writer.[7] [8] [9]
