Mohamed Ali (Arabic: محمد علي‎) also known as Mohamed Ali Hussein is an Egyptian director and actor born on October 2, 1984.

Career[edit]

He is known for his role in directing the movie 18 Days (film) which premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

The Game of Love film was his first independent directing. In 2005, he directed the movie "Boohaa." He also directed Buying A Man (2017) as well as Mohamed Hussein (movie); a 96-minutes movie released on June 4th, 2019, in Egypt and Qatar on June 20th of the same year.[1]

Bashterry Ragel was another film he directed. It was released in Egypt on 14th of February 2017 as well as in the United Arab Emirates on 4th of May 2017 and sold at a total of EGP5,272,567 at the box office.[2]

He has also directed several drama series including; Maryam (2015) Alhisab Yajmae (2017), Ladina Aqwal Okhra(2018) and Loma Kona Soghayaeen (2020)[3]

Mohamed Ali also directed Leabet et hob released in 2006 which won him the Alexandria International Film Festival Award for Best First or Second Feature Category in 2006.

In all, he has directed over 15 movies.
