Mohamed Sassi (in Arabic: محمد الساسي – Born 7 November 1952 in Rabat) is a Moroccan university professor, intellectual, and politician. In 2002, he was one of the co-founders of the Unified Socialist Party in Morocco,[1] which he left in July 2021.[2]
Sassi is an advocate of the model of a parliamentary democracy in Morocco, turning the king from an executive into a constitutional monarch with a largely symbolic role.[3]
