Mohammad Ali Heydarpour, also known as Mo Ali or MoAliFC is an Iranian Canadian professional footballer who played as a forward.[1][2][3][4]

Early life[edit]

Born in Iran, Mo Ali Heydarpour’s journey in the sport began when he moved to Canada at the age of six, ending up signing of his first professional contract with SC Waterloo Region in the Canadian Soccer League. Ali’s career, while he was in Slovakia, halted due to an injury. He then moved to Boston where he discovered his passion for training football players. He was then introduced to Columbus Crew striker Kei Kamara, after which he gradually began to provide personal training to football players. Through his training techniques and social media, Ali gained massive social media presence which gave him access to train with players like Neymar, Pogba, Isco, Götze, and more.

Career[edit]

Mo Ali’s transition from a professional footballer to a popular personal trainer kicked-off when he offered individual training to Kei Kamara during the Major League Soccer (MLS) off-season in 2016. Mo Ali brought consistency in sharing his training content online, attracting over 1.1 million followers on Instagram and over 500 million views across social media. This level of online presence brought him sponsors and collaborators with football clubs and national teams, including the Thailand National Team prior to the 2019 Asian Cup. Today, Mo Ali runs a network of more than 100 clubs and 1,000+ players. Training Method

Mo Ali’s training program consists of different training sessions, which typically last between 30 minutes to 2 hours. The session with a light warm-up with ball work lined up throughout 7 to 8 exercises. These exercises include coordination, speed, juggling, slaloming, and taking shoots at both small and standard-sized goals.
