Mohammad Najeeb Qasmi is an Indian Islamic scholar of the Deobandi school of Islamic thought. [1]
Family background
Mufti Najeeb Qasmi is the grandson of Maulana Ismail Sambhali, who was a muhaddith of his time and a celebrated freedom fighter of the Indian Independence Movement.[1][2]
Education
After completing Islamic studies and theology at Darul Uloom Deoband in 1994, Dr. Najeeb Qasmi joined Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, where he did a graduation in Arabic and two courses of translation. He did his M.A in Arabic from Delhi University. Dr. Mohammad Najeeb Qasmi has been awarded a PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia on the topic الجوانب الأدبية والبلاغية والجمالية في الحديث النبوي من الصحيحين [clarification needed] under the supervision of Prof. Shafiq Ahmad Khan Nadwi & Prof. R. I. Faynan. [1]
