Mohammad Reza Shahram (born 1994, Hisa Duwum Behsood District, Afghanistan) is an Afghan writer, journalist and media activist. He is the founder of Shahram Media and the Afghan Diversity Visa Winners Association. Shahram has worked with several print and online media outlets in Afghanistan and abroad and currently writes articles and reports for Anadolu Agency Turkey.

Biography

Shahram was born in 1994 in Shahrah, Hisa Duwum Behsood District, Maidan Wardak Province, Afghanistan. He completed his primary and secondary education at Abdul Rahim Shaheed High School in Kabul.

In 2010, Shahram began learning calligraphy and in 2012 started working as a calligraphy instructor in Kabul. He won third place at the International Fajr Festival of Islamic Countries in Iran and participated in the Para Art International Exhibition in Japan.

In 2013, he enrolled in the field of Electrical Equipment at the Atomi Khani Institute of Kabul and graduated in 2015. Due to economic challenges, he could not pursue higher education and started working in building electricity while continuing his media activities.

Media Career

Shahram has published articles and reports for Did News Agency and Hewad Magazine, and has collaborated with Mandegar Daily, 8 Sobh Daily, Afghanistan Daily and Bakhtar News Agency during the Republic era. After the fall of Kabul to the Taliban, he paused his media activities for a while but later began working as a journalist and article writer for Anadolu Agency Turkey.

Other Activities

Shahram is the founder of the Afghan Diversity Visa Winners Association and also created Barchi Media, a platform focused on cultural, social, and political topics.
