Mohammed Ali is a British computer programmer and internet entrepreneur. He is best known as the inventor of WeNeed1, which is a price comparison service using a reverse marketplace model. As of December 2016, WeNeed1 rejected a multimillion-pound offer from American investors.[1][2]

Personal life[edit]

Ali was born in Yorkshire, England in 2000 to Nisar Ali and Nadia Ali. He was a student at Batley Grammar School in Batley, West Yorkshire.[3] He lives in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire with his family. Having completed his GCSE exams in Summer 2016, he is now studying for his A levels and is the current Chief Technical Officer at WeNeed1.[4][5][6]

WeNeed1[edit]

Ali created the WeNeed1 web application in 2016, in addition an algorithm that brings buyers and sellers together using keywords.

WeNeed1 aims to put buyers in control so that they can save time and money.[7]
