Mohan Kumar (aka MK) is an Indian Film director, Screenwriter and Producer, known for his works in Telugu cinema. He is known for his commercially successful low budget action films. Regarded as one of the pioneers of low budget action films. He shot to fame with his sensational hit film Devdas Weds Parvati which not only won various awards, but also took his popularity nation wide.
He has stated that his film making style is highly influenced by American B-movies, especially the by Russ Meyer' films.

Mohan Kumar was born in Gudivada in 1976, where he finished his early education and he is an alumni of Loyola College, Chennai.
Career[edit]
Box office[edit]
Known for his low budget style of production, Mohan Kumar is yet to have a flop at box-office. Almost all of his films, have grossed a minimum of x4 times of the films budget.
After Devdas weds Parvathi release, he was recognized across the country for harshly satirical portrayal of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Devdas.[2] Followed with the success of Sitara, his most commercially succcessful film, which grossed over 25crores in its theatrical run.
Other projects[edit]
In 2016, MK announced another low-budget action thriller titled Yama Kinkarulu, but instead he made Sitara (an unofficial Remake of RGV’s Rangeela) But Yama Kinkarulu is set to resume production in 2018.
MK, also expressed interest in making a film out of the life of Degala Seenu (Guntur’s rowdy sheeter)
