Mohd. Danish (born 15 October 1998), is an Indian musician, singer, composer, music producer, recordist, music programmer, live performer and actor. He prominently sings in Hindi and Punjabi language. He is the 2nd winner of The Voice (India season 2) and awarded with “Yamaha Fascino Most Stylish Singer Award" [2] [3] [4] He belongs to a royal family Kairan Gharana. He has been learning classical music for the last 10 years.[5]
Early and Personal life
Mohd Danish born on 15 October 1998 to Dr. Shahnawaz Ali in the city of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.[6] Danish began his singing career at the age of four. In his childhood, he participated in several Indian TV reality shows. He learned the initial and basic knowledge of Indian classical music from his grandfather. He is pursuing graduation from Indra Kala Sangeet Vishv Vidyalaya, Chhattisgarh where he met Ustad Irshad Ahmad, under whose supervision Danish is learning Classical Music. His first Musical Album “We Indians” was released by T-Series in August 2017, produced by his Uncle Dr. Shabab Aalam and directed by A. M. Turaz.[7] This album is a patriotic song and a beautiful fusion of Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Humara and Vande Mataram, and it was Danish’s first break in Bollywood.[8][9][10]
Achievements
In 2012, He won the Sambhagiye Sangeet Pratiyogita.
In 2015 He qualified for the TV reality show Voice of Punjab Season 6 and performed in the grand finale. [11][12][13]
In 2017 He qualified for the Indian reality show The Voice (India season 2) and won the award for Yamaha 'Most Stylish Singer of the season. [2][14][15]
Career
Danish started his musical career by performing at school/college functions and state level competitions. He joined concerts and performed on stage, receiving much appreciation in several TV reality shows for his live performances, especially when he performed on the Indian reality show ‘The Voice India Season 2’. The Judges Shaan (singer), Neeti Mohan,Salim Merchant and Benny Dayal turned and requested him to join their team. Danish amazed all the judges with his melodious voice, and was selected for the team of Neeti Mohan. [16][17]
