Plot[edit]
The book is narrated by Moll herself and by Bridget, Moll's lover and an apothecary, who first met Moll when Moll approached her asking to be made into a man. It narrates Moll's various adventures, many involving theft and trickery against the rich.[1]
Major themes[edit]
Moll is represented as a "lesbian, Robin-hooding proto-feminist"[2], and her sexuality, and the suppression of lesbian identity by men, is a key theme[3].

The book was published in paperback by Stramullion, a Scottish-based feminist publishing collective, in 1984.[1]
