Molly Elizabeth Evensen is an American Actress. She is known for her role as Clara in the HBO Max film An American Pickle.[1]

Early Life[edit]

Evensen was born in Littleton, Colorado to David and Mary Evensen. She is the eldest of four siblings. Molly had an interest in acting at a very young age and performed in over 30 stage productions by the age of 18 in the Denver metro area. She was accepted on the spot after her audition for the University of Northern Colorado's acting program where she graduated with a BA in Theater Arts and an emphasis in Acting. During her time at UNC, she co-founded the sketch comedy troupe "Hello My Name is..." based on the concept of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, which is still running today. She relocated to Los Angeles shortly after graduation to pursue a career in film and television.

Career[edit]

In 2020, Molly made her theatrical debut opposite Seth Rogen in An American Pickle[2]. The film was originally produced by Sony Pictures, but later sold to Warner Bros.[3] to be released as the first HBO Max original film. It was also released theatrically in the United Kingdom. Evensen plays the role of Clara, Herschel's ambitious intern [4]

Other notable work includes the role of Laura in an episode of Nicole Byer's Loosely Exactly Nicole[5] on Facebook Watch in 2017. She's also appeared in over 15 commercials since 2015. Most notably in M&M's 2021 Super Bowl LV ad, in a Dr. Pepper ad directed by Taika Waititi, and in an ad for Let Go opposite the Village People.
