Momo Bertrand

Momo Bertrand is a communications professional, speaker, and author from Cameroon. He currently works as a communications specialist at ITCILOat the United Nations campus in Torino, Italy.

Education[edit]

Momo studied management at the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB), where he was Student Government President and graduated as valedictorian. [1] He later obtained an MA in Social Innovation from the University of San Diego (USD). While at USD, Momo won the University's annual essay contest, delivered the black graduation speech and was featured on the cover of the university's magazine. [2] [3]

Professional Life[edit]

Momo worked for multiple associations and enterprises starting in 2012. He also launched an African social network, Gojamaa.com, though it was short-lived. He later completed an internship with Citibank in Cameroon.

In 2016, he founded Momo B Marketing Agency, offering communication services to the local Cameroonian market. [4] [5]

In 2019, he was a finalist at the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge for co-launching One Digital World, an NGO focused on refugee education. [6] [7] [8]

In 2020, Momo joined the United Nations as a Communications Officer and the fact that he applied to various global roles over 500 times before being successful went viral. [9] [10] [11][12][13] [14]

Speaking and writing[edit]
