Mikál Smith (born June 3, 1990) Is known professionally as Money Im Countin (M.I.C) an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from New York City. Born and raised in The Bronx. As a youth, his friends gave him the nickname Money Mike being his name is pronounced Michael and was always counting the money he saved selling cards and toys.
His influences include 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle, Kanye West and A Boogie wit da Hoodie
EARLY LIFE[edit]
Mikál Smith was born on June 3, 1990, in Bronx, NY, to a British mother. He frequently got into trouble growing up. His grandmother gave demanded he relocates and lives with her in Orlando, FL or be shipped to military school. After graduating Jr High School his family seen the great potential and decided to give him one last chance to wisen up and was forced to attend a Seventh-day Adventist high school in New York City. During his years he played the piano, violin and joined the school choir; it became a catalyst for him composing music.
Among other established artists, he has opened up for A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie at the Electric Brixton in London with 6ix9ine also The Fillmore Philadelphia, World Night Club in Charlotte, NC with Rich The Kid, Jim Jones in Brooklyn, NY for a charity event. Super Producer Amadeus was blown away by his catalogue and says he is ahead of the game. Jadakiss Co-signed His Debut Project C.O.D released May 3, 2019.
As the C.E.O of Fortune 5hunnid Records, M.I.C plans to not only be a successful artist but to develop current upcoming artist as well. He ideally focused on giving back to his community. A word about Money Im Countin name spread quickly throughout New York City and caught the attention of Jessica Cunnington of Bronx 12 News. May 2018 was his Television debut discussing his story about his musical talents giving back to his community from his nonprofit organization (Mentor Influence Children named after his stage name M.I.C)
