Monirul Islam Prince (born April 18, 1989) is a Bangladeshi recitation artist, author, and software developer. He is known for his performances on television and stage, as well as for his work in mobile app development and literary publishing. He is a verified artist on platforms such as Spotify, Musixmatch, and Boomplay.

Early life and education

Prince was born in Mymensingh, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He studied Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka International University.

Career

Recitation and Media Work

Prince began his career in 2012 with the Bangladeshi recitation group Swarosruti. He became an enlisted artist at Bangladesh Television in 2020. He has performed in numerous national cultural events, including the annual Ganga-Jamuna Cultural Festival. In 2019, he served as the production manager for Manushera Manusher Pashe, a recitation production by Swarosruti held at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The performance received media coverage in major outlets such as Channel i, RTV Online, NTV, and দৈনিক ইত্তেফাক.

Technology and Entrepreneurship

Outside the arts, Prince has held roles as a service engineer, project engineer, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He is involved with the ICT committee of the Bangladesh Abritti Somonnoy Parishad. He is also the founder of tech businesses including Aamra Technologies and Mega Deals LTD.

In 2024, he released the Android app Smart Metro BD, which enables commuters in Dhaka to check Metro Rail card balances and trip history.[1]

Prince’s first audio album, Adorer Upobash, was released in 2024, featuring romantic and patriotic recitations. In 2025, he published the book The Art of Recitation, which discusses techniques, history, and philosophy of Bengali recitation.
