Montage Partners, Inc., is a private equity firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with its headquarters located at 7150 East Camelback Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85251.[1]

The firm supplies management teams with capital and resources to acquire and grow companies that have between $1 million and $5 million of trailing cash flow and that are situated in the following industries: business services, consumer, healthcare, industrial, and technology.[2]

As of December 31, 2018, the firm had completed private equity investments in 13 companies, with total enterprise value amounting to more than $113 million (calculated by each investment’s value at the time of acquisition).[3] These investments took place in California,[4][5][6][7][8] Texas,[9] Nevada,[10] and Arizona.[11][12][13][14]

Montage Partners, Inc., is a Delaware corporation incorporated in 2012. From 2004 through 2008, the firm operated under various holding companies as it completed its first three investments: Integrated Stucco, LLC,[15] Riggs Plumbing,[10] and Desierto Verde, Inc.,[10] which were successfully exited in 2005, 2005, and 2007, respectively. From 2008 to 2012, the firm operated as a Delaware limited liability company (Montage Partners, LLC). The firm’s 2012 legal reorganization was completed when founder Jordan Tate was joined by new Co-Managing Partner Rob Wolfman, previously a Director at Advent International, a Boston-based private equity firm with 14 offices across 12 countries.[16]

The firm was founded in 2004 by Jordan Tate and Garth Wieger to invest in family-owned businesses and to provide capital to support growth plans. Jordan Tate was previously an analyst in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co.[17] Garth Wieger was the former CEO of UDC Homes Inc. (acquired in 1998 by J.F. Shea Co.) and the founder and former CEO of Journey Homes, LLC (acquired in 2002 by Taylor Woodrow Inc., which is now Taylor Morrison Home Corp. NYSE: TMHC).[18] In 2011, Garth Wieger left the firm. In 2012, Rob Wolfman, formerly a Director at Advent International, joined the firm as Co-Managing Partner.[19] Chris Young, formerly Assurance Manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, joined the firm in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations.[20] Also in 2017, Chris Norwood, formerly an analyst in the investment banking division at UBS, joined the firm as an Associate investment professional.[21] In 2018, Chris Brown, formerly Assurance Manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, joined the firm as Vice President of Business Development.[22]

In April 2012, Montage Partners acquired Equity Methods from Bank of America Merrill Lynch in partnership with the company’s management.[11]

In December 2012, it was announced that the firm successfully exited its investment in Clowe & Cowan of El Paso.[23]

In December 2015, Montage Partners invested in Integrity Mold, Inc., in a recapitalization in partnership with the Company’s founders and management, which included capital for Integrity to accelerate investments in talented team members and state-of-the-art equipment to support continuing the Company’s growth.[24]

Montage Partners successfully exited its investment in Indo-European Foods, Inc., in April 2017.[25]

In October 2017, Montage Partners successfully exited its investment in Integrity Mold, Inc., which was acquired by Westfall Technik Inc.[26]

In December 2017, Montage Partners successfully exited its investment in National Home Warranty, Inc.[27]

In September 2018, it was announced that the firm acquired Puroflux Corporation in partnership with management.[8]
